MesraTools · Build 119

Detected Segment Exporter

Detect sustained quiet regions, list threshold-derived active segments, and export one selected active range as a new PCM WAV.

Choose a browser-decodable audio file.

What this tool does

It reuses Build 118 RMS-threshold segmentation, identifies sustained quiet runs, and treats the remaining ranges as active editing candidates. You can inspect the manifest and export one chosen active range.

How to choose settings

A lower threshold such as −55 dBFS requires quieter audio before a pause is counted. A higher threshold such as −35 dBFS will classify more low-level material as silence. Increase minimum silence duration to avoid splitting around short gaps.

Export behavior

The selected decoded range is written as a new 16-bit PCM WAV. This is not lossless stream-copy from the original codec and it does not preserve source tags or compressed codec data.

Privacy and processing

This Build 119 workflow decodes and processes the selected file in the browser. It does not intentionally upload the audio to MesraTools.

Important limitations

Threshold segments and transient/tempo evidence are editing aids. They do not establish speaker identity, musical structure, exact beats, legal/forensic authenticity, mastering quality, or guaranteed seamless loop points.
