Audio Trimmer
Select start and end times, preview the source, and export only the chosen segment as 16-bit PCM WAV.
How trimming works
The source is decoded in your browser, the chosen sample range is copied, then a new WAV file is created. The original file is never overwritten.
Quality and limitations
Export uses the decoded source sample rate and channel count with 16-bit PCM WAV. This avoids another lossy codec generation, but converting from a lossy source such as MP3 cannot restore information already removed by earlier compression. WAV files are usually larger. Tags and cover art are not retained.
Practical recommendation
For speech clips, trim closely but leave a small natural margin around the first and last word. For music, avoid cutting in the middle of a strong waveform peak when possible; a later build can add fades/crossfades.
